Paige Griffith Receives Ms. JD Fellowship
Paige Griffith, a rising 3L at the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana, has been awarded a 2015 Ms. JD Fellowship. The fellowship is awarded to 13 female law students from across the nation. According to Ms. JD, fellows are selected based on their academic performance, leadership, and dedication to advancing the status of women in the profession. They reflect a full range of diverse interests and backgrounds, with women pursuing opportunities in public interest, academia, and private sector in every region of the country.
The Ms. JD Fellowship was created in 2010 in partnership with the ABA Commission on Women in the profession in order to promote mentoring and professional development for future female attorneys. In addition to receiving financial support and invitations to ABA and Ms. JD events, Paige will be paired with a mentor chosen from among the Brent Award honorees, Spirit of Excellence Award recipients, and ABA Commission on Women in the Profession Commissioners. Following graduation from law school, Paige will be clerking for the Honorable Judge Christensen, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Montana.
