Max S. Baucus Institute

We’re inspired by the legacy of former U.S. Senator and Ambassador Max Baucus to break down barriers so that students can see, serve, and lead in Montana and throughout the world. We do this through three areas of focus: public service, climate, and U.S./China relations.

Applications for our Summer 2024 paid internship programs are open! Deadline to apply is December 8, 2023.

If you’re an undergraduate or graduate student in Montana, we invite you to check out our opportunities for students. No matter where you live, we invite you to get involved: attend an event, make a contribution, or collaborate to help us support the next generation of leaders.
