Personal Summary

Otto Koester has been a Peace Corps Volunteer (1968-70); a Lecturer at Princeton University (1974-76); the Deputy Director of the Salzburg Seminar, (1984-88); a Program Officer with the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, DC (1989-93); and the Director of Grant writing at the University of Montana (2003-2010).

He was Co-Director of the Confucius Institute and maintains teaching and research interests in international negotiation and conflict management, especially between the United States and China.

He served as the Associate Director of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center from 2010-2013.
