Chief Operating Officer and Partner of EisnerAmper

Matthew Morgan is a business leader and author who has long advocated the values promoted by the Mansfield Center. A Democracy Is Born, his first of nine books, published in 2007, focuses on democracy in recounting the story of Afghanistan’s first elections. 

In his current role as Chief Operating Officer and Partner of EisnerAmper, he oversees operations for 4,000 advisory professionals providing audit, accounting, consulting, and tax services. 

Matt has held COO and other roles in industry-leading firms across professional services sectors: McKinsey (management consulting), Bridgewater Associates (investment management), Parsons Brinckerhoff (engineering), Savills (real estate), and Teneo (strategic communications). He began his career as an Army intelligence officer and was awarded the Bronze Star in Afghanistan. 

Matt has a MBA from Harvard Business School, a MA in Political Science from the University of Hawai`i, and a BS in Management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. 

Matt’s other non-profit service includes the Board of Governors of Chaminade University of Honolulu and Boards of two regional Shakespeare festivals.
