Montana NEW Leadership Eligibility Requirements

Montana NEW Leadership is open to part time and full time undergraduate students (rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors) enrolled for the 2018-2019 academic year in any Montana college or university, as well as Montana residents enrolled in out-of-state schools. Montana NEW Leadership is committed to including women from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic and racial backgrounds and of all ages. We strongly encourage women of color, nontraditional college women, and students majoring in fields outside political science to apply.

The Montana NEW Leadership program is capped at fifteen participants. Montana NEW Leadership participants are required to attend all summer institute sessions and live on campus during the entire program June 23-27, 2019. If you are accepted, you will be required to acknowledge and agree to meet these requirements.

Accepted students are required to confirm their intention to attend, at which point the school will be billed for the $500 program fee. The University of Montana cannot offer a refund in the event that a student does not attend the program.
