The Persian program at the DCLCP is led by an associate professor with a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and an M.A. in TESOL. She is an expert on the theory and practice of language education, has taught English and Persian as second languages for more than 20 years, and supervised and co-authored the Practical Persian series, Listening and Reading in Persian, and Persian for Specific Purposes, all produced and used by the Persian program at the DCLCP. Research on the foundations of language education, teaching language components, and examining the effects of the individual factors on the learning of second languages are among the areas of her interest.

Our GTA, an M.A. candidate at University of Montana, is a native speaker of Persian with first-hand knowledge of the culture and life in Iran. Having experience teaching Persian as a foreign languages, she has been a great asset in developing audio material for our classes.
