A Leadership Program for You

Montana NEW Leadership is a program hosted by the University of Montana’s Mansfield Center to educate, empower, and encourage college women to become politically active and to take on leadership roles.

The Montana NEW Leadership summer institute is a non-partisan, five-day residential program that takes place at the University of Montana, in Missoula Montana. During the summer institute, 20 students meet women leaders, learn about women in American politics, and develop and practice leadership skills through panel discussions, workshops, and hands-on projects. After the summer institute, participants are encouraged to continue to develop their leadership skills.

"Walking into the first day of the Montana NEW Leadership program was akin to stepping into the most thought-provoking, introspective, and inspirational classroom the Montana University System has to offer. A week of discussion and debate between individuals from all backgrounds and with varying interests reaffirmed my confidence in the goodness of my peers and in the abilities that I bring to the table." ~ Dani Daly 2017 Alumna
