Parking at the University of Montana

Please refer to the following map for finding parking on UM's campus. There are a variety of parking options open to you when you visit the museum: 

1. There are currently a handful of Quick Stop spaces located directly south of the museum in the parking lot we share with the Adams Center.
2. Various parking lots around campus offer hourly parking spaces, which will be marked by signage. You may pay for parking either at the physical kiosk located at the parking lot, or by using the app Passport.
3. If you're spending a longer day on campus, several parking lots offer daily parking passes. You may pay for parking at a daily spot on UM's Parking Portal.

Transportation Options

Free UDASH buses stop regularly at the UM Transportation Center, which is location two blocks southwest of the museum. Please visit the UDASH Bus Routes to plan out your bus trip. 

Tour buses can unload visitors in the loading zone located directly south of the museum's front doors, but may not park there. If your tour requires special parking needs, please contact Peggy Nesbitt at peggy.nesbitt@mso.umt.edu, or call us at 406-243-2019 so we may help you plan your trip in advance. 

Griz Football Game Day Parking

The museum is open 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Griz Home Game Days. If visiting the museum on game days, please note that you may encounter parking restrictions and possible traffic congestion. Please refer to the game day parking map for additional game day parking questions and concerns.
