Description

These two 2-hour sessions will review common scenarios in the workplace that may escalate client behaviors; how to identify escalating behaviors, and methods to mitigate risk of aggression. The training will include scenario-based learning to identify appropriate staff response to escalating client behaviors as well as policy and post incident strategies.

Objectives:

  • Describe common trigger events for clients who display escalating behaviors
  • Explain signs and symptoms of increasing agitation and movement toward aggressive behaviors
  • Implement appropriate responses for staff addressing incidents across the workplace setting
  • Identify policy components and post-incident steps

Julia Drishinski

Julia Drishinski is a BSN prepared registered nurse that has worked in most operational areas of healthcare over the last 30 years.  She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and assists healthcare professionals provide safe care in safe environments.  Julia has an extensive background in quality and risk management, including security and education in workplace violence training platforms.
