Catering and Food Options
The chefs at UM Catering use sustainable, locally sourced ingredients through the Farm to College Program. From a small continental breakfast to a gala reception for one thousand, UM Catering will craft the perfect menu for your needs.
The Food Zoo is UM's dining hall and a great option for group dining. Bring a large group and be sure that many options are available for any dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and Halal meats.
There are many self-serve options around campus. The UC Food Court has several options, including a salad and soup bar, Noodle Express, the 406 Grill, Doc's Sandwiches and a sushi counter. The UC Market serves up local coffee and espresso, sandwiches, breakfast burritos and much more. There are many coffee shops around campus, like Biz Buzz, Recess and Think Tank.
The Iron Griz is UM's newest dining option, a newly renovated grill at the UM Golf Course. Serving up local beer and wine selections, it's a cozy spot with a patio, fireplace, and spectacular views of the greens.

The Kim Williams Nature Trail makes the quick walk to downtown an easy, traffic-free stroll along the river.
Becoming socially and environmentally sustainable in our operations, classrooms and facilities is at the core of Greening UM initiative. We are mindful of incorporations sustainability practices where possible including facilities and dining program. Sustainable and locally sourced foods are intergraded into all food service programs. Other campus sustainability highlights include recycling, solar power, and LEED certification.
Stay in the Residence Halls
During the summer months, UM opens up our residence halls for groups needing an economical and convenient choice for an overnight stay. Free wifi and access to laundry facilities.
Stay in the woods
Lubrecht State Experimental Forest offers a rustic alternative to hotels. Just 30 miles from Missoula along the Blackfoot River, Lubrecht has miles of recreational trails for cross-country skiing or hiking. Stay in a cabin, boxcar, apartment or lodge. Meals available.
