2-3 p.m. Mentoring Students for Success

What are the key areas where students need mentoring? How can the work of instructors and advisors best support students on their college trajectory? Departments will share models for group mentoring and support for undergraduate research and we will discuss efficient ways instructors and advisors can collaborate to help our students. 
 

3:10-3:30 p.m. Remarks from Provost Jon Harbor 

Learn about Provost Harbor's vision of future models for mentoring students and programs that can support advisors, faculty, and graduate instructors.

 

3:30-4:30 p.m. Indigenous Mentoring

Gain an introduction to approaches to mentoring that support American Indian/Alaska Native students. Explore ways to establish and sustain healthy mentor-mentee relationships.
