About the Day of Action

We are organizing the Day of Action is in response to common themes that emerged from CoEx launches throughout the fall semester. While faculty and staff are excited about the possibilities of CoEx, they are concerned about institutional barriers that may impede transdisciplinary work. These concerns are legitimate and must be addressed in order for CoEx to reach their full potential.

The Day of Action will bring members of every CoEx together with staff and administrators from all corners of campus. An unconference is an event where the agenda is set by attendees. Participants will create an agenda according to their priorities, with the specific charge of generating solutions and recommendations for how UM can overcome real and perceived barriers to transdisciplinary teaching and research.
