Some of our most innovative efforts that currently exist on the edges—metaphorically and literally—of campus are moving to the heart of UM. An immediate and exciting expression of this the creation of the Innovation Factory, a physical space in the University Center where we will foster the innovative problem solving and design capabilities of our students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The Broader Impacts Group, the Blackstone Launchpad, and Schools of Art and Media Arts are working collaboratively with community partners to design and launch the Innovation Factory where members of our community will actively problem solve, create, innovate, design, learn, and apply—all characteristics of a liberal arts education.
