NCUR FAQs

The Council on Undergraduate Research has selected Montana State University to host the 2020 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR).  NCUR is the premier national event for undergraduate researchers, scholars, artists, and performers to showcase their work to an audience of their peers. The conference will run from Thursday, March 26th through Saturday, March 28th and will include ten poster sessions, dozens of oral sessions, performances, gallery exhibitions, plenary speakers, graduate school fairs, workshops and social events. Information about NCUR 2020 is posted on the NCUR 2020 webpage and on the MSU NCUR 2020 information page.

Participation at NCUR 2020 is a great opportunity to highlight the outstanding research UM faculty members conduct with undergraduate students. NCUR is also chance for UM students to participate in a national conference without having to travel far. In addition to an opportunity to present, the planned agenda includes exciting plenary speakers and other highly-worthwhile activities.

In order to present at NCUR students must submit an abstract and have it selected. The National Council on Undergraduate Research sets the abstract selection guidelines. Abstract submission will open 9/30/2019 and close 12/6/2019. Links to abstract submission will be available on the NCUR 2020 webpage. Once selected, students must register for the conference.
