Spring 2019 Commencement
UM’s 122nd commencement will take place at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, May 4 in the Adams Center.
The 9 a.m. ceremony will include all departments and programs within the College of Humanities and Sciences, Missoula College, the School of Journalism, and the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Doors to the Adams Center will open at 8 a.m. Graduates should line up on the Oval at 8:15 a.m.
The 2 p.m. ceremony will include all departments and programs within the College of Business, the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences, the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences, and the W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation, as well as the Master of Public Administration program. Doors to the Adams Center will open at 1 p.m. Graduates should line up on the Oval at 1:15 p.m.
Each ceremony will last approximately 2-2.5 hours and will feature individual recognition of every student as they cross the stage and the hooding of doctoral students by their advisors. The official conferral of degrees and distribution of diploma covers will happen during these events.
Tickets are not required for the event and seating is available on a first come, first served basis. The doors to the Adams Center will open one hour prior to each ceremony. There will not be a charge for parking on campus the day of Commencement.
