I.  Per Diem Rates

A.  Per diem rates cover animal husbandry costs which include:

                a)  A standard maintenance diet
                b)  Cage, equipment, and facility washing and sanitizing
                c)  Bedding to meet the requirements of the type of animal
                d)  Enrichment
                e)  Animal care supplies used in the animal holding area (cleaning, disinfectants, etc.)
                 f)  Protective clothing including lab coats, gloves, shoe covers, masks, respirators, and
                      goggles

2.  Other Animal User Fees and Rates

A.  Internal animal user fees and rates assessed for:

               a)  LAR special services
               b)  Quarantine processing
               c)  Deportation of animals
               d)  LAR staff and AV experimental work 

B.  External animal user fees and rates assessed for:

               a)  LAR special services
               b)  Quarantine
               c)  Deportation of animals
               d)  LAR staff and AV experimental work
               e)  Animal Use Protocol (AUP) review by IACUC
                f)  CITI animal training courses
               g)  OH&S Risk Assessment review
               h)  Biosafety application review by IBC
