Scott’s spring 2015 university talks & mismatched white-tail jackrabbits in North Dakota

Scott has had the opportunity to give talks at several universities as an invited speaker  this semester and share more about his research with coat color phenology, camouflage and climate change.  He has already been hosted by the National Resources Graduate Student Association at Clemson University (January 29) and the Biology Department at Applachian State University (February 11), and just returned from a trip to North Dakota State University (NDSU) where he was hosted by the Biological Sciences Graduate Student Association on March 13.  His talk at NDSU turned out to be quite timely, as the campus and surrounding areas hosted a large population of another coat-color changing mammal, white-tailed jackrabbits (Lepus townsendii), all of which were quite mismatched in the snow-less landscape!  Take a look at more photos of the jack rabbits below.
