The Student Custodian positions provide custodial services to an assigned residence hall on weekends, UM holidays, and during Thanksgiving/Spring Break. The Student Custodian shall be on call every other week for all the residence halls. This position typically works 28 hours per week, which includes 16 hours during the weekend and 9-12 hours on-call per week. Student Custodians are hired for the academic year. Compensation: Student Custodians are paid a competitive hourly rate for actual hours worked on Saturday and Sunday, and they are paid a 4:1 ratio (one hour of pay for four on-call hours) for nights on call.
2018-2019 Student Custodian Application Process
Residence Life will hire two Student Custodians for the 2018-2019 academic year. All Student Custodian candidates must complete an online Student Custodian Application to be considered for the position. The Student Custodian Application opens on Monday, March 5, 2018, and closes on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
Once an application has been received, it will be reviewed, and qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an individual interview.
All Student Custodian candidates will be notified of their hiring status by mid-June, 2018.
