Meg Ann Traci

Research Professor

Dr. Meg Ann Traci is a Developmental Psychologist with expertise in early childhood and life-span development. Dr. Traci is the Knowledge Broker on the Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities, drawing on over 25 years of experience in grant writing and a productive program of research, development, and systems change.

She is: a research professor at the University of Montana Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities; co-chair of the Human and Family Development minor; and a faculty affiliate in the School of Public and Community Health Sciences. She is the senior consultant on the Montana Disability and Health Program, a partnership with the Montana Department of Health supported through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

She has published numerous articles covering a range of topics including early intervention, systems advocacy, healthy communities, and public health and health promotion. She received the 2009 Rehabilitation Award from the Montana Association for Rehabilitation.

Dr. Traci currently participates in AUCD’s Council on Leadership in Advocacy (COLA) and AUCD’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) on Disaster, Climate Adaptation & Disability Inclusion and on Health and Disability. Dr. Traci also is active in the Disability Section and Rural Workgroup of the American Public Health Association.
