"People with Disabilities Still at Risk in Congregate Care Settings" summarizes CMS data at county and regional levels to inform community response to the recent increases in COVID-19 cases and deaths among nursing home residents, through August 8, 2021. The brief comes on the heels of a CMS directive for nursing home staff to be vaccinated that is expected to go into effect as soon as September.

With the Delta variant, cases have steadily grown over the past few months in nursing homes, especially in the South and Midwest.
