RTC:Rural Director, Dr. Catherine Ipsen, with colleague and Project Director Dr. Gilbert Gimm, participated in a national webinar series on September 9, 2021, to share their research and engage in a discussion on how barriers to social participation result in social isolation and loneliness for people with disabilities.

If you missed their presentation, “Using the National Survey on Health and Disability (NSHD) to Explore the Experience of Social Isolation and Loneliness among Rural and Urban People with Disabilities,” you can now view the archived video.

The four-part webinar series on Social Isolation and Loneliness for People with Disabilities was hosted by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), part of the Administration on Community Living (ACL).
