MOLLI Frequently Asked Questions

MOLLI membership is a great way to support lifelong learning in your community and open the door to a new kind of classroom. To join MOLLI today, a non-refundable $20.00 annual membership may be purchased in the following ways:

  • Call the MOLLI office at 406.243.2905
  • Mail a completed Membership Form to:

  • Visit the MOLLI office in person at the address above to purchase a membership in the Todd Building (adjacent to the University Center) on the University of Montana campus.
  • Pay for a membership using the online registration process.

Membership period is July 1 to June 30th the following year. Membership is required to enroll in courses and attend special member events.

Registering for a MOLLI class is easy! Members may register for a course in the following ways:

MOLLI tries very hard to keep costs at a minimum so everyone can participate. However, we know that some people may need some help. Therefore, MOLLI is pleased to offer a tuition waiver program to ensure everyone +50 has the opportunity to engage in lifetime learning. This fund has been supported by donations from MOLLI instructors and generous members.

MOLLI members are classified as “Montana Borrowers." A state issued photo ID displaying a Montana address must be presented when checking out materials.

MOLLI courses are typically offered for three 6-week terms during the fall, winter, and spring; each class session lasts approximately 90 minutes a week and is predominantly held on either Thursdays or Fridays. Schedules may vary for special courses that fall outside the regular MOLLI term.

MOLLI courses are predominantly held in the Todd Building (adjacent to the University Center) on the University of Montana campus unless otherwise noted in the brochure and online registration course description.

The Mountain Line bus does not stop directly outside the Todd Building. There is a stop at the corner of Arthur & University as well as on the northeast side of the University Center. Please verify your route and bus schedule information at www.mountainline.com.

The MOLLI office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The office is not open on weekends or holidays. It is located on the third floor of the Todd Building (adjacent to the University Center) on the University of Montana campus.

Beginning Fall 2015, members may receive a full refund of course tuition if a course is dropped at least 48 hours prior to the first class session. A refund, minus a $10 processing fee, will be offered if a course is dropped no later than 24 hours after the first session.

Members may elect to receive credit for a future course in lieu of a refund. Full credit will be granted if the course is dropped no later than 24 hours after the first session. In accordance with University policy, credit must be used prior to June 30 of the applicable year. If the credit is not used, it will be refunded, minus a $10 processing fee.

Membership, course fees, and parking permits are non-refundable.

If paying by check, Social Security numbers must be provided to the MOLLI office to receive a refund. Social Security numbers are not required for refunds processed from credit card payments.
