Definitions
Community
A community is an official UM department or organization that provides one or more social media channels (i.e., Admissions).
Category
A category describes the type of service or activity provided by a community (i.e., Student organizations).Channel
Channels are social media sites, such as a Facebook page, Twitter account or YouTube channel. A community may have multiple channels.
Navigating the directory
View all A-ZProduces a list of all UM communities in alphabetical order. An A-Z tab at the top of the page allows you to jump to a section for each letter. |

SearchType in keywords to search for UM communities |

Browse by categorySelect a category from the drop-down menu to produce a list of communities in that category (i.e., all technology-related communities). |

Browse by channelSelect a channel from the drop-down menu to produce a list of communities that offer that channel (i.e., all communities with Facebook pages). |

Community profilesClick on a community name to get a description and a list of all social media channels associated with the community. C |

More columnThe "m" icon in the column titled "More" indicates additional social media channels are available for that community. Clicking on the icon will take you to the community’s profile page. |

Multiple channelsA number on an icon indicates that the community has more than one channel of that type. Clicking on the icon will take you to the community’s profile page. |
