Non-UM Student Who Only Wants to Take a Summer Course

You don't have to be a current or newly admitted UM student to take our summer session courses! If you plan to only take summer session courses in 2021, please follow the short instructions below to apply:

Step 1: Apply online through the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Within the form, it will allow you to choose Summer Only. Please note that by choosing "summer only", you are indicating that you are not intending on pursuing a UM degree.

Step 2: Register for Summer at the Registrar's Office or online via CyberBear. Students can register for a maximum of 6 credits during Summer Semester only.

At any time, you are welcome to browse the Course Schedule for classes, or you can check out our courses page to view them by college and type.

Please see Important Dates and Deadlines for registration and payment dates.

Distance (online only) students qualifying for this status are not required to provide proof of immunization or a Pre-Registration Immunization Requirements Form. All other students must provide this information if they opt to apply and attend UM in Summer 2021 or any other semester. Students who previously attended UM should follow the readmission procedures and update their immunization records with UM via the Curry Health Center's Health Portal.
