Where are our graduates now?

UM Dance Program graduates have become professional dance performers, choreographers and teachers. Many have gone on to dance in New York, San Diego, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas (among many others), with companies such as Elizabeth Streb, Douglas Dunn, Hilary Easton, Kevin Wynn, Maureen Fleming and David Neumann (New York); Spectrum Jazz Dance (Seattle); Nancy Hauser (Minneapolis) and the Zen Monkey Garden (Virginia). Others perform on cruise ships and for television.
UM Dancers have become independent choreographers of modern/contemporary dance, jazz, hip-hop, ballet and musical theater. One of our graduates assisted with the London production of Grease in Rio de Janeiro, and others are producing their own concerts throughout the country.
Many pursue graduate studies and are now teaching at colleges and universities or pursuing the field of dance therapy.
Some alumni have opened their own dance or fitness studios, have become personal trainers, or teach in their local communities. Other UM Dance Program graduates teach dance to children in school settings or movement to adults with disabilities.
