2018-2019 Studio Series
The Studio Series is our “second season”: it allows students, faculty and staff the opportunity to study alternative and innovative scripts and choreographic concepts freed from the constraints and costs of a fully produced event. These performances are comprised of a theatre studio show and all programs of Dance New Works.

February 6-10, 2019 / Masquer Theatre
Although the title is not yet selected, this production promises to be thrilling: it will mark the local directing debuts of at least two of UM Theatre & Dance's new MFA directing candidates and will focus on performances by student actors.
March 5-9 2019 / The Open Space
Dance New Works, performed in the Open Space, provides opportunities for students, faculty, and guest artists to experiment with new dance concepts and ideas in choreography, presented in alternating programs. Dances include solos, duets, and large group works and range from contemporary modern dance, jazz, and ballet to work derived from contact improvisation. Choreography is supported by lighting designs created by the School’s Design & Technology students.
