Proper Use of Headings

There are six heading elements, Heading 1 through Heading 6, that denote section headings.  Headings create the informational structure of the content of your page and are hierarchical where each sub-heading should be nested under a heading of the previous level. It may be helpful to think of these headings as the outline of your page content.

With the Ponderosa Template a Heading 1 is automatically placed using the Title of the page.  Content should not skip levels (for example, from heading 1 to heading 3). Users do not need to use all six elements to structure pages. If numerous topics exist on a page the Web Team recommends breaking them up into different pages.
