Personal Summary
Born in Missoula to two graduate students, Kaila has loved living in Montana and being a Griz since Day One. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in History, with a focus on human and women’s rights, she switched gears a bit and moved to Bozeman. There, she owned and operated a small plant and floral business called Rhythm N’ Bloom. When the opportunity arose to continue her education and pursue her Master's, she moved back to Missoula. Kaila now holds an M.Ed. in International Education Leadership and has worked previously with the Mansfield Center as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. With a passion for intercultural communication and education, she believes that equity in educational opportunities is important for both individual and societal benefit, and she is excited to continue this important work.
