Gatot Prasetyo was born and raised in Java island, Indonesia. He received a scholarship through Indonesia’s Ministry of Education in 2012 to pursue a master’s degree in the US. In 2015, he received a scholarship through the Ministry of Finance to pursue a doctorate in the US. He has teaching experiences of Indonesian and English at various educational levels in Indonesia. He has worked with pre-service and in-service language teachers in Indonesia in various projects and workshops. He has contributed as a reviewer in the TESOL Quarterly journal, and as a copyeditor in Journal of Indonesian Social Sciences and Humanities. His research interests include second language writing, language ideology, academic discourse socialization, and intercultural communicative competence.

Yanti is born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia but moved to the US in 2004. She started her career in Indonesian language field since 2008 teaches Indonesian language and culture to US Military Special Operations personnel. During her career, she has worked as a Subject Matter Expert, Curriculum Developer, Instructional System Designer related to Indonesian language for various projects. She recently earned a Full OPI Tester Certificate from ACTFL. 

Yanti is currently a DCLCP Indonesian and Culture Instructor at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. In her spare times, she likes to travel, watch movies and spend time with friends and family.

Vena has a rich and varied background in language training. She has taught Indonesian at Ayutthaya Technical College in Thailand (2016), a program that was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia and the Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization. She was a trainer in the LEARN Project (Asylum Seeker and Refugee Education, 2017), where she conducted training for volunteer teachers who were seeking to teach Indonesian to asylum seekers and refugees in Bogor, Indonesia. Vena has also been an instructor at the Language Institute of Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2013 - 2015, 2018).
