Grant Funding and Scholarships
The Mansfield Center is pleased to announce $74,000 in funding to support University of Montana faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students working on projects and internships related to American democracy.
Eligibility
- Faculty Research or Course Development Grants:
- Full-time faculty of any rank are eligible.
- Student research grants:
- Full-time undergraduate students and graduate students at the University of Montana are eligible.
- Student internship grants:
- Full-time undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Montana undertaking internships in Washington, DC are eligible.
Applications for faculty or student research of course development grants should include:
- A one-page, single-spaced proposal that explains your project’s objectives, relevance to American democracy, and plans for dissemination.
- A CV or resume.
- A budget not exceeding $5,000 for faculty, and $2,000 for student research grants. Please list other funding you’re applying for and any confirmed funding you have.
Applications for student internship grants should include:
- A one-page, single-spaced proposal that details your internship, its relevance to American democracy, and how this experience will enhance your education and contribute to your career goals.
- Documentation that you have been offered an internship position.
- A CV or resume.
- A budget not exceeding $6,000. Please list any other funding you’re applying for and any confirmed funding you have.
