hank-3.jpegOdyssey of Our Stars honors the University of Montana’s rich arts and media legacy. It pays tribute to outstanding UM Arts and Media alumni and celebrates the talents of our students and faculty. This event provides financial support to promising students so they can pursue their creative paths and provides program support to keep arts and media thriving across Montana.

The 2024 Odyssey of Our Stars event will be held on March 9, 7:30pm, Montana Theatre, PARTV Center.

Join us for an evening celebrating the arts and media at the University of Montana—paying tribute to our current students, past alumni, and their artistic journeys. We will feature students across the College of the Arts and Media (CAM) and are proud to applaud the many contributions and achievements of vlogger, videographer, author, musician, philanthropist, and internet producer Hank Green as our 2024 honoree.

Hank Green started making YouTube videos in 2007 with his brother, John. They thought it was a pretty dumb idea, but it turned out pretty well. In addition to his work with SciShow, Hank is the co-founder of VidCon, DFTBA Records, and Crash Course.

Hank Green is the New York Times best-selling author of “An Absolutely Remarkable Thing” and “A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor.” He is a science communicator, video creator, and entrepreneur, having founded Complexly, Subbable, VidCon, and DFTBA.com. He’s a host of Crash Course and SciShow and you can find him on YouTubeTwitter, and online
