President Royce Engstrom Endowed Prize in University Citizenship

This prize is awarded to a recent graduate (within ten years) of the University of Montana who, as a student, contributed in a significant way to the betterment of the University and who has remained an exemplary ambassador of the University through distinguished professional and societal service

Criteria:

University of Montana alumnus who completed his/her undergraduate and/or graduate degree at UM within the last ten years.

Nomination Process:

Send all nominations to Maggie Angle by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 4th.

  • Application Materials should include:
    • Nominee’s resume or CV
    • A letter that demonstrates, with specific examples, how the nominee fits the criteria
    • Additional letters of support that further demonstrate how the nominee fits the criteria (optional)

The awardee will be selected by a committee comprised of representatives from Alumni Relations, ASUM, the President’s or Provost’s office, and a Regents Professor.

Award Presentation:

  • The inaugural President Royce Engstrom Endowed Prize in University Citizenship award will be presented at the University of Montana Charter Day Ceremony on February 27, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
  • The recipient will receive an award of $2,500 or more.
