Affiliate Campuses

The University of Montana is a multi-campus university serving the western portion of the state of Montana. The main campus is located in Missoula, as is Missoula College, with additional campuses in Helena, Butte, Dillon and Hamilton.

University of Montana (Missoula)

The main campus of the University of Montana is located at the foot of Mount Sentinel, the mountain bearing Missoula’s most recognizable landmark – a large letter M. Since our charter in 1893, we have provided a high-quality, well-rounded education to students, and a wide range of services and resources to Montanans. As the center of liberal arts education in Montana, we balance that core commitment with intensive programs of professional preparation to make our graduates future proof. We are a major contributor to research, continuing education, economic development and cultural arts, as well as a driving force in strengthening Montana’s ties with countries throughout the world.

Missoula College (Missoula)

Located just across the Clark Fork River from the University of Montana’s main campus, Missoula College offers fast-track programs that shorten the time from education to a career. We provide occupational education in dozens of areas ranging from health care, business and culinary arts to cybersecurity, IT and construction trades. Graduates receive a certificate of completion for two- and three-semester programs and an associate’s degree for four-semester programs.

Helena College University of Montana (Helena)

Located in Montana’s capital city in the heart of the northern Rocky Mountains, Helena College University of Montana is a growing, vibrant center of higher education, committed to educational excellence and individual success. We offer technical proficiency certificates and associate degrees, as well as study toward upper-level and graduate-level programs in cooperation with other Montana University System institutions.

Montana Tech of the University of Montana (Butte)

Originally chartered as The Montana State School of Mines, Montana Tech is today recognized among America’s best values in undergraduate education. Located on the Continental Divide in historic Butte, we offer an array of nationally recognized engineering, science and technology degrees, as well as general educational programs. Our small size and community atmosphere allow students to build personalized experiences with faculty, staff and other students.

University of Montana Western (Dillon)

University of Montana-Western has been dedicated to excellence in undergraduate education since its founding in 1893. Our unique and innovative Experience One system allows students to take one class at a time, in a concentrated-block fashion. Located in beautiful southwestern Montana, the campus serves people of all ages with its academic, community-service and lifelong-learning programs.
