Course Objectives:

  • Identify two issues of intergenerational and historical trauma that impact contemporary service provision for “Indian Country”.
  • Identify one practice-based evidence model for contemporary service provision in “Indian Country”.
  • Identify and examine one working strategy or tool to build stronger partnerships with families while honoring their cultures.
  • Identify common challenges to bridging the culture of the nurse, or other professional, and the client.
  • Report increased knowledge of how to build leadership courage.
  • Be able to identify a leadership courage opportunity.

Upon completion of this activity:
90% of nursing participants will provide evidence of increased knowledge by stating at least one intended change to strengthen practice related to knowledge gained at the 2022 Great Beginnings, Great Families Conference.

Criteria for Successful Completion

Criteria for Successful Completion & Certificates:

  • Contact hours are awarded based on either in-person or virtual attendance of the conference
  • Complete the Online Evaluation Form following the activity (provided during LIVE conference ONLY)

Credit Information

The 2022 Great Beginnings, Great Families Conference has for continuing education to the following entities. Once the applications have been received and approved, the final CE category hours will be posted below.  Note: CEs will not be available for the recorded breakout sessions.

  • This activity has been submitted to the Montana Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. Montana Nurses Association is accredited with distinction as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
