Personal Summary
I am from a suburb of Minneapolis called Ham Lake, MN and grew up playing various sports with my two brothers. One stuck - ice hockey - and it brought me around the world. I played Divsion I I Ice Hockey at Princeton University, and professionally in Ingolstadt, Germany. Afterwords, I worked in pizza and in schools. My goal of living in the mountains for a period of my life and my continued drive for education led me here to the University of Montana in the Department of Communication Studies. My research interests are currently in Interpersonal and Family Communication, specifically around how moment-to-moment parent-child interactions relate to child well-being, and family communication about alcohol use. I buy far too many books that I have no time to read, and I am excited to buy more. Please reach out with any questions or interest in connecting.
