Student volunteers identified 61 unlabeled/unconfirmed bird eggs from the Montana Natural History Center's collection and created detailed records of their observations, including descriptions of their size, shape, and maculation. Service Saturdays connect UM students to exciting experiential learning opportunities in their community through meaningful, impactful service projects. Specimen Detectives | Service Saturday at the Montana Natural History Center

Whether you're a master of oology or a nature novice, this opportunity is for you! Volunteers are needed to help uncover the identity of several mystery specimens at the Montana Natural History Center including butterflies, bird eggs, and mammal skulls! Tools and training will be provided. 

This event will take place on Saturday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Montana Natural History Center is located right on the river trail at 120 Hickory St.
