Personal Summary

Hi! My name is Gillian Wilcox and I am a first-year School Psychology PhD Student. I recently moved to Missoula from Idaho, where I was working as a high school teacher. Though I've lived in the West for a few years, I grew up on the other side of the country in New Hampshire. I am delighted to join Dr. Jacqueline Brown's GRAY (Grief and Resilience Among Youth) Lab here at UM. My research interests include psychological support for students in rural areas, academic resilience, and grief (especially since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic). Outside of school, I enjoy exploring and taking photos of the natural world with my partner and our golden doodle.
