Lillian Alvernaz

Lillian Marie Alvernaz, Assiniboine - Sioux, grew up in northeast Montana. She is extremely passionate about combatting violence against women and children, specifically Native American women and children. Lillian attended the University of Montana (UM) and received her degree in Social Work and Native American Studies in 2013. Upon graduation, Lillian accepted a position as the Issksiniip Coordinator for UM. After working for two years, Lillian was accepted into the Alexander Blewett III University of Montana School of Law. Lillian plans on obtaining her Indian Law Certificate and Masters of Public Administration along with her Juris Doctor. In her free time Lillian enjoys spending time with her family, lifting weights, and attending powwows.
