Ravalli County Ballot Issue: Bitterroot Valley Community College Levy

In response to the number of inquiries we have received from the public we would like to provide additional information so that voters can make an informed decision. 

• We here at Bitterroot College UM are NOT asking for a levy. The ballot initiative proposed to voters is NOT funding Bitterroot College UM. The campus located at 103 South 9th street is an extension campus of the University of Montana and is funded through UM and the Montana University System. 

• Community education in Ravalli County is funded by permissive levies in each k-12 district. Victor, Stevensville, Corvallis, Hamilton, and Darby school districts offer adult education programming in their communities. 

• Bitterroot College UM will continue to offer academic programming and workforce training in Ravalli County. Students can access all student support services from our Hamilton campus, earn degrees and certificates, and participate in workforce development programs that lead to local high wage jobs.
