Career Counseling

You may schedule an appointment with a Career Services Career Counselor to help with your career preparation and planning needs.  We have several types of appointments available for you to choose from:

Appointment Types

We will help with deciding on or changing your major, applying to a graduate program, or to discuss career options for your major.

Career-related assessments are designed to help you understand yourself in relation to the world-of-work. Based on your responses to questions related to your personality, values, interests, skills and abilities, possible career matches are suggested for further exploration. Career Services offers several career-related assessments that can be completed online at your convenience including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.

Our career counselors can review your resume, curriculum vitae, cover letter, and all your application documents. They will suggest content, grammar and format changes to help you in your job search efforts.

Find work as a student or after graduation. The career counselors can offer job search strategies, help you search existing databases and techniques for approaching potential employers.

We can help you prepare for the interview, provide techniques to answer questions, how to dress, and other interviewing advice. We conduct mock interviews and give you feedback on your performance. We can even record the session onto a USB drive or other media.
