Banff Mountain Film Festival

Rock the Rec Climbing Competition

Date: March 10th, 2024 from 11am - 3pm at the Fitness & Recreation Center Climbing Wall

Who: Open to both the UM Community and the public, ages 10+

Price: $42 with a Griz Card, $50 for visitors - open to all skill levels

Reel Rock 18

Founded in 2006 by filmmakers Josh Lowell (Big UP Productions) and Peter Mortimer (Sender Films), the Reel Rock Film Tour brings the best climbing and adventure films of the year to live audiences throughout the world. The film tour is the definitive annual event for climbing communities globally. Reel Rock shows are high-energy, community events.

Starting in December, buy your tickets to Lookout Pass $55 or Lost Trail Powder Mountain $55 at the Outdoor Program. Tickets are available to the University of Montana community.

Buy a student lift ticket at the Outdoor Program for $60 and get free transportation from the University to Snowbowl.  A shuttle will pick up in front of the Outdoor Program on weekends.

Fall Used Outdoor Gear Sale

Where: University Center, First Floor

Our Outdoor Gear Sale is open to UM students, faculty, staff, and the general public. You may drop off your used gear you would like to sell from 8am -11am. The sale will run on the first floor of the University Center from 12pm - 4pm. Between 5 - 6pm, you may pick up your unsold gear as well as your payout. The Outdoor Program collects 20% of the selling price.
