The Office of Research and Creative Scholarship supports the innovative, creative and entrepreneurial endeavors of UM faculty, students and regional business partners from the initial stages of finding funding opportunities and making contact with appropriate university offices and people through award close-out and creation of new companies.
For faculty and students the primary starting point for research and creative endeavors is Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). For regional business partners or faculty/staff interested in entrepreneurship, licensing and ventures or clinical and translational research the primary starting point is Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Our Office is also responsible for any questions related to Research Compliance, Environmental Health and Risk Management (EHRM) and Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR). Finally, the Vice President for Research and Creative Scholarship is also the primary University contact with federal legislators and their staff through Federal Relations.
For any questions regarding research, creative scholarship and entrepreneurship please contact our office.
