Annual Grass Monitoring Technician Positions 

The University of Montana O’Connor Center for the Rocky Mountain West is currently recruiting FORESTRY TECHNICIANS. We are partnering with the US Forest Service Region 1 to map and monitor invasive annual grass populations. Crews will work with multiple field offices within Region 1 to collect data that will be used to understand the spread of invasive grasses and inform USFS management decisions.

We are currently recruiting Forestry Technicians with coursework in forestry, resource management or related field for data collection. Forestry Vegetation Technician Lead Mapping Positions

The University of Montana O’Connor Center for the Rocky Mountain West is currently recruiting FORESTRY TECHNICIAN LEADS. We are partnering with the US Forest Service Region 1 to collect training data for the Northern Region Vegetation Mapping Program (VMap). VMap is a multi-level geospatial database used to produce four primary map products: lifeform, tree canopy cover class, tree diameter, and tree dominance type. USFS uses these map products for forest-level planning.

We are currently recruiting Forestry Technician Leads with coursework in forestry, resource management or related field for data collection.
