The winter weather has arrived in Missoula. For your safety, know what to do in the event of significant winter weather. 



Priority snow routes

Familiarize yourself with the priority snow removal routes on campus through the Campus Map. Priority Snow Removal Routes are listed under ADA Accessibility on this map. These routes are the sidewalks that receive priority snow plowing by Facilities Services at the Mountain Campus and the Missoula College River Campus.



Snow removal requests

If you are experiencing a physical barrier at the Mountain Campus or Missoula College River Campus due to snow or ice, call the UM Facilities Services Work Order Desk at 406-243-6091 to report it. You can also submit a work order via email at Facilities_WorkOrder@mso.umt.edu or using their FAMIS Work Order System throughout the workweek. For after-hour and weekend emergencies, contact the UM Police Department at 406-243-6131.

 For the University Villages, contact the University Villages Office at 406-243-6030 to report and request snow removal.

Your safety & what to do if you need to miss classes due to severe weather

In the event of significant or rapidly occurring snowfall or icy conditions, ODE encourages you to consider your personal safety. If you need to miss classes due to impassable roads and snow or icy conditions on or off campus, please email your instructor to let them know and cc your access consultant on the email.
