- Establish diversity, equity, and access practices in recruitment and admissions activities to attract a more diverse student body; implement annual trainings for recruiters and all enrollment management offices
- Actively showcase and use in recruitment efforts UM and Missoula events pertinent to specific student populations
- Integrate materials focused on our diverse community into recruitment efforts
- Explore opportunities for strategic translation of recruitment materials into other languages, especially for parents of prospective domestic and international students

- Hire recruiters from diverse populations
- Identify and send recruiters to national conferences ideal for recruitment of diverse students (e.g., American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) Conference, Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) Conference, etc.)
- Partner with students and alumni in recruitment visits and outreach

- Hired a Tribal Outreach Specialist who is focused on recruitment
- Made optional SAT and ACT scores in UM’s admission process
- Distribution of McNair Scholars list to departments to encourage recruitment of a diverse pool of talented applicants
