UM to Host Accreditation Site Visit in April

MISSOULA – The University of Montana will host a regular accreditation site visit on campus April 24-26. The visit will be conducted by the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities as part of their Year Seven Comprehensive Accreditation Site Visit process.

UM has been continuously accredited by the NWCCU since 1932, and UM’s current accreditation status is confirmed. The most recent NWCCU action reaffirming UM’s accreditation took place in July 2020. Recent accreditation reports and actions are available on UM's Accreditation website.

UM is required by the U.S. Department of Education to notify of the public of the accreditation site visit, no later than 90 days before the NWCCU visits campus.

The public is invited to submit comments directly to NWCCU no later than 10 calendar days before the site visit in April. Anyone willing to provide comment can do so online at this evaluation link or by mailing comments to the address below:
