MPulse: Movement

November 12, 2020

Dear UM Family and Friends,

Whether through our students, our faculty or our alumni, the UM family is making a profound difference in the world.

To recognize and share more broadly the impact these uniquely talented Griz are having, we are launching “Grizzlies in the Wild.”

This digital video series will highlight our very own “Grizzlies in the Wild” – problem solvers, critical thinkers and change-makers who are using their time at UM to have a lasting effect in Missoula and beyond.

Video: Grizzlies in the Wild | Movement

For our first installment of “Grizzlies in the Wild”, we highlight UM Professor Brent Ruby, who works with his students to study movement and the boundaries of the human body’s capabilities.

As we encourage the next generation of students and faculty to join our UM Family, we will proudly tell these stories of impact that showcase our Montana characteristics. At UM, we give students the gift of our tireless determination, optimism and inclusiveness. This is part of the value of a UM education.

Our students challenge their own boundaries of knowledge and stretch themselves toward new horizons. And they do this because we provide access to world-class faculty, unmatched experiences outside of the classroom and limitless research opportunities.

Our “Grizzlies in the Wild” give our students exactly that, and they are just part of the reason that there is no better place to unlock your potential and launch your career than at UM.
