Valene Talks Different Named National Outstanding Undergraduate of the Year

Valene Talks Different, a junior in the B.S. Public Health degree program, recently received the national Outstanding Undergraduate of the Year award, presented by the Eta Sigma Gamma and the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (ESG/NGHEC). The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding students majoring in health education from colleges or universities that have professional preparation programs. Valene received an award certificate that was presented to her at a special student social during the annual ESG/NCHEC Outstanding Undergraduate Major of the Year celebration, March 31, 2023. Dr. Blakely Brown, Professor – SPCHS, nominated Valene for the award. Congratulations Valene!
