How much does the GRE cost?

Cost is presently $205 which includes the necessary fees for reporting your scores to four (4) schools of your choice. A $50 rescheduling fee applies if you reschedule your GRE within four (4) calendar days of your exam not including the day of the exam.

How can I prepare for the GRE?

The University of Montana Testing Services does not endorse any test preparation company. Candidates may access GRE POWERPREP study ware from the GRE Web Sites: https://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare, or purchase GRE preparation books at many bookstores.

When will I receive my scores for the GRE?

You will receive unofficial scores on the day of the test, and in approximately 8-10 days, you and four schools of your choice will receive the official scores.

How often can I take the GRE?

You can take the GRE only once every 21 days, and no more than five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period. This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously.

If I have a disability, how do I get special accommodations for the GRE?

Testing accommodations are available for examinees with disabilities that meet certain criteria and provide proper documentation.  If you are requesting nonstandard testing accommodations, you must have them approved prior to testing.
