Traffic Advisory/Update for Wednesday, December 6th

To All UM Commuters: 

Lady Griz School Day is scheduled to return to campus at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, hosting nearly 6,000 local children for a basketball game against Loyola Marymount at the Adams Center. To accommodate this event, please be

aware of the following transportation-related updates: 

  • black sign with "lady griz school day" written in chalkBlue Line Closure: The Blue Line route from Lewis and Clark/Dornblaser will be suspended on Wednesday. 
  • Extended Red Line Service: To make for the Blue Line closure, the Red Line service from Lewis and Clark/Dornblaser will be extended to run every 10-12 minutes between the time of 7:30 am to 8:45 am. If you ride on either of these lines, please be aware of this change.  
  • Closure of Campus Drive: Campus Drive will be closed to through traffic from 10 p.m. on Tuesday until 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Cars must be moved off of Campus Drive between Lot Z and Lot T before 10 p.m. on Tuesday to avoid towing. 
  • Traffic Disruptions: Expect traffic congestion on the south end of campus between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, as well as on Fifth Street immediately after the game. School buses will be parked on Campus Drive between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Lot Z to the south entrance of Lot T. 
  • Parking Considerations: If commuting during peak times on Wednesday, consider parking at the south end of campus to minimize the risk of being delayed by traffic congestion. 
  • Closure Duration: Campus Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. on Tuesday to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
